Gillian McDaniel '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gillian McDaniel and I am a student at Peoria Notre Dame.

I fell in love with volleyball at a young age and have enjoyed playing the game ever since. I started playing in fifth grade and hope to extend that experience to the collegiate level.  Volleyball means more to me than just being a sport. It means building relationships and bonds with other teammates, being in an environment where I can push myself to be the best athlete I'm capable of being and working together with others to achieve a goal.  Playing volleyball and being an athlete have taught me how important it is to communicate with others and make decisions under pressure. 

I hope to find a school that can help me push myself to be a better athlete and a better student. My work ethic is very focused and strong. I believe that I am a leader for other athletes and students and can help those around me to push themselves as I do the same.
