Mackenzie Henderson '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mackenzie Henderson, and I am a Libero/DS for the class of 2021. I have played volleyball for 5 years. I love the game, my teammates, and just being in the gym. I bring my best to the court and am the biggest cheerleader for my team. I am a well-rounded volleyball player being able to play any position on the back row and the front row, if necessary.

In 7th and 8th grade, I got cut from the middle school teams. That did not stop my passion for the game. I signed on as the manager so that I could practice and travel with the team. I played recreational in 7th grade and played for a travel team in 8th grade at Ignite-Elite. I've played as right side, DS and Libero. The summer before my freshman year I worked hard every day to improve my game and ended up making the freshman team. Our varsity team went to the State Championship and took 2nd place. I feel so honored to have been a part of that experience. I no longer play for school, but still participate in the open gyms and summer camps with my friends. I have played a few sand tournaments in my free time as well. I play club ball now for Epic United Volleyball on the 17/18 Epic Elite team. My favorite place to be is on the court.

I am searching for the best blend of volleyball, academics and coaching excellence. I love to compete and also want to surround myself with the best options to challenge me to grow all around.
