Chrissy Marx '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Chrissy Marx, and I am a junior in Evansville, Indiana. I have been playing volleyball for about 11 years, as well as tennis for about 9 years.  In my volleyball career, I started training as a DS/libero when I was about 14 and mostly set before that. In my most recent seasons, I have set for my high school team and played defense for travel. This has helped me become a well-rounded player with a good feel for all aspects of the game. As a freshman, I dressed varsity with a sectional championship team, and half of sophomore and all junior year, I set a 5-1 for the varsity team. My experience continues year-round with club volleyball, and high school tennis in the spring and summer. Academically, I have maintained an unweighted 4.0 GPA all throughout high school and plan on entering medical school after my college studies. I participate in many extracurricular activities and clubs, including the pep club, Spanish club, and membership in the National Honor Society, as well as some playing of the piano in my spare time. My focus and drive for all of these aspects of my life are what make me committed to striving for more and bettering myself by becoming a college student-athlete.
