Personal Statement

In 2025 I switched from Middle to Outside Hitter.  I like outside a lot more but I’m willing to help a volleyball program in any role.  We had a good club season playing the whole year in the top BC division and the team chose me as one of their captains.  This may be one of the hardest divisions in Canada considering a local team won the U17 nationals. I also won a silver as captain for our High School team but unfortunately we didn’t qualify for provincials.

In 2024 we won the Canadian National U16 T3 Gold medal (17th out of 240 teams)!  Playing for Thunder Blue U16 was fun and I feel lucky to play with such talented girls.  This is my second championship in 3 seasons, because I also won the BC Provincial Championship with BCO Volleyball Club in 2022.  That year I was in Grade 9 and I also started on our Senior High School team.  We won the B-Side of the provincial Championship (9th out of 100 ish AA sized schools).

I love my team.  I love to see my teammates succeed.  I love to get a kill.  I hope that you reach out so I can learn about your program.

Awards and Activities

  • AwardsIn 2022, I won the “Leadership in Concert Band 8” award and in 2023, I won “Outstanding Intermediate Jazz Instrumentalist” award for Seycove Secondary School. I was selected to be part of a special program called the Performance Learning Program. Www.plp.seycove.ca. The program has a project based learning curriculum and more conventional grading occurs in grade 10. In Grade 11, my marks were in the 90s in every course except Math.
  • ActivitiesMusic: Bass, Acoustic Guitar, Choir. I used to be in a pop band but now I only do Coffee Houses with a friend. Recreational Skier: Whistler is less than 2 hours from home Beach Volleyball: I play with SideOut. Coaching: I coached the Jr High School Girls and the Jr High School Boys volleyball teams at my high school team. I also love to travel. When I was 11 years old I left my family to live in Japan for a month as part of CISV.
