Sarah Soderstrom '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Sarah Soderstrom, I am from Cranbrook, British Columbia. I am a middle blocker, and I have been playing volleyball since grade seven, and playing club volleyball since U13. Currently, I am signed with Ace Volleyball club in Calgary, Alberta. Unfortunately, there was no local club team, so every week I drive back and forth from Cranbrook to Calgary for back- to -back practices (one way is about 4 hours). If I didn't love the sport and was determined to play post-secondary, it wouldn't be worth the drive. I am certified by Volleyball Canada as an official referee, I also have coach and or assisted with youth volleyball teams/camps. I have a passion for History and love teaching, I want to major in liberal arts and eventually become a secondary school teacher.  I am happiest when I am on the court, the challenge of stopping the ball at all cost thrill and drives me to play my best.  While I am a middle, I strive to work on my defence, even getting the opportunity to play full back row during my school season. I look forward to your interest and am excited to communicate with prophetic coach in the future.
