Mariana Camargo '22 Recruiting Profile

I started playing volleyball when I was 9 years old and, since then, my love and admiration for the sport has only grown. It’s a goal of mine to play volleyball at the best level possible while getting the best education, that’s why I chose the US. I’m a very supportive teammate, always ready to offer any kind of help and willing to do anything for the best interests of my teammates and coaches. I believe that I can also bring a positive energy to those around me and I’m always trying to improve my technique as well as helping other improve theirs. I'm really competitive and I have a very deep desire to win, which I think helps me on the court and also off of it, since - even though I love being on the court - I have no problem being off court just cheering for my teammates if it's for the benefit of the team as a whole. 

I've been training very hard, both my volleyball skills and my physical conditioning so that I can be the very best version of myself and achieve my goal of getting a scholarship and becoming a student-athlete. I'm sure I will give my absolut best everyday to conquer great things with my team and make my parents, coaches and teammates proud.
