Personal Statement

My name is Sofía Isabel and I am a 2026 from San Juan, Puerto Rico . I play for Cedin my school and Kali Beach my club team. I am very active with my class,  I am the treasurer of the board,the president of my school's sports club, and I am part of the honor society and also in their board . I have been playing volleyball for three years now, and it brings a lot of joy to my life. I would like to study criminal justice in univeristy. I love spending time with my family and friends, I love being social. This summer I went to a camp at Columbia University and one of me favorites parts was being around new people and learning what it’s like to live in different places then mine. It made me realize that even though I love Puerto Rico I really want to experience collage life in the United States.
