Playing in the USA Junior National Championship Match as an eleven year old and the next summer making it to the quarterfinals of the National Beach Championships were the “hook” that bonded me to volleyball. Playing in these competitions makes me want to work even harder every year to get to the top. Every time I don't make it to the top it pushes me to make it the next time. I love volleyball! It is my passion!
I am a strong student academically. I work hard, am organized and efficient. I do not like assignments hanging over my head. I take the toughest courses my school has to offer. I like to compete in the classroom just as much as on the court. However, I am kind, caring, and willing to help others in need. I try to volunteer as much as I can. It is fun and makes me feel good. I am involved and hold several leadership positions. In my free time I love to paint, draw, and create.
Volleyball has influenced me by instilling in me a strong work ethic and a desire to become a leader on and off the court. I believe these qualities will help me achieve my lifelong goal of being a registered nurse or the next “Dr. Pimple Popper”. I am hoping volleyball will be a way of continuing to improve my leadership skills and provide me a competitive outlet while studying nursing in college. I also love the team aspect and camaraderie between players and coaches that volleyball provides us all! Going to the National Championships each year is not a guarantee and I love the excitement, work and pressure it brings. Six years in a row and counting! Hope to see you there!
