My name is Torie Sparks, and I am a 5'10'' outside hitter and setter. I am currently in my junior year of high school, and I am a three year starting varsity player at Bethlehem High School in Bardstown, Kentucky. I played for an age 17 National Team at KIVA (Kentucky Invitational Volleyball Association) last year, and I currently play for MAVA (MidAmerica Volleyball Association) 17 Select. I often play 6 rotations, and my coaches say my coachability and versatility is what makes me a unique player and teammate. I also have an impressive work ethic, and I push myself to become a better player with each practice, game, and tournament. I am not only a strong athlete, but I am also a strong student. I have had a consistent 4.0 GPA throughout all of high school while taking vigorous courses, and I am very active in several different clubs and extracurricular activities. Although I am undecided on my major, my education will play a big part in deciding what college I attend. My dream is to play collegiate level volleyball at a competitive level, and I am ready to work hard and do whatever it takes to make that happen.
