Maryam Ali '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi there! I’m Maryam Ali and I also go by Mimi! I am a current volleyball player and former soccer player and cheerleader. I also currently play field hockey and lacrosse but I enjoy volleyball the most and focus on it more. I aim to making the most out of my time both in my athletics in high school and club in order to make it to top colleges focused on building better athletes but especially academics since at the end of the day, the academic performance of a school maters the most to me. When it comes the college athletes, I’ve noticed the ones being recruited the most are the taller athletes. I believe that my height being 5’5 should not okay a crucial role in whether or not a coach decided to recruit or recognize my potential. And that’s why I believe choosing an athlete like me with prove to incoming students and athletes that that college chooses based on skill and potential and not solely on looks. Thank you!
