Personal Statement
My name is Kerra Cornist. I am a Middle Hitter for the class of 2018. I have been playing school volleyball since 5th grade and club volleyball since 7th grade. I play high school volleyball for Logan County High and club volleyball for Audubon Volleyball Association (AVA). I have loved the game of volleyball ever since my first year of playing in middle school. Every time I touch the ball I fall more in LOVE with this sport.
Outside of playing middle I love playing the position of back row. It may seem a little odd for a 6'0' middle to be passing but I've found it to be a lot of fun! But, I'm striving to be a all-around player on the court. My freshman year in high school I had set two (2) school records (Solo blocks in a match and Hitting Percentage) and received multiple other awards. As well as being a starter on the varsity squad.
I am seeking for a great college with an outstanding volleyball program as well as a Business Management/Communications program. I am a student with a 3.7 GPA that wants to better myself academically, socially, and spiritually. I am ready for the challenge!
