Personal Statement
Dear Coaches, Hi! My name is Baylie Lee and I am from the small town of Lake Charles, Louisiana. I'm a 6'2 junior at barbe high school. I weigh 173 right now, but I am seriously working on losing weight and building muscle. Let me tell you, my athletic abilities have really come around in the past couple of years. This year I have decided to put my grades in front of everything because of the importance they have on where I want to end up in life. If I want to get where I am going, I need to at least have a good understanding of what I am learning, right? haha Yes, which boils down to having good grades. I can become a very competitive person when it comes to sports. I hate to lose! The first thing I love to do after a game is to see what I could've done that may have given us the win instead of the loss. Once I notice I've done something wrong, I work hard to fix it. I love to be the first one in the gym and the last one out, it helps me feel more dedicated to the team. I'm also the one you will see in the gym on saturdays and sundays, I just love to try to reach a new level of the game. Getting into a college to play volleyball is a huge dream of mine. I feel that if I really work hard I can make an impact on any team. I remember going to the gym on multiple Saturdays and then getting into a game and being able to see where there was space enough for me to hit the ball. I came out the game and my coach said "Wow, Where did that come from?" and I would just grin and say well I don't know, coach. Do I have a certain school I want to go to? Not one single bit. I love so many different things that I can't just choose one thing I want in a college. I have had the opportunity to see many different campuses and it doesn't matter if they're big or small I find them all unique and I love them one way or another. My liking of so many different things leads me to another thing, my future major is still undecided. I would really like to go into medicine, physical therapy, peditrician, business, or maybe even a teacher, but by tommorrow that could possibly change. Ending it with my favorite quote, " If you want to change something, look within and see if it's right for you. If it is, then believe in what you do and become the best at it." Thank you for taking your time to read a little about me. Thanks so much, Baylie Lee.
