Skylar Turner '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Skylar Turner and I am from Marrero, La.  I am currently in my Senior year at The Academy of Our Lady High School in Marrero, La.  and will graduate in May of 2018.   I would have to say the highlight of my high school volleyball career would be advancing to the State quarterfinals in 2015, and to the semi finals in 2016.  Having been a part of this taught me that hard work and dedication can truly pay off.   Having the greatest of opportunities to be able to play for the same coach in club and high school ball, is what probably makes me different from others.  

I am fortunate to have been able to play all around this volleyball season having the opportunity to hit outside and play defensively.  Although I have been consistent hitting on the outside, my biggest strength is my defensive skills.  Some of my greatest achievements is playing defensively and being able to make those awesome plays.   I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and will be that leader on and off the court.  Not only do I have the talent to compete for a college team, but I have the drive, motivation, and leadership, to make the difference on your team!  I am looking forward for an opportunity to discuss my skills with you!
