Personal Statement
Club volleyball is not well known in Northwest Louisiana. Unfortunately I did not discover volleyball until the beginning of my eighth grade year. That year I made the younger travel team for a local club. Last year I made the varsity team as an incoming freshman. I have been blessed to have great coaches during this short time and look forward to continuing to learn from those in my future. Discipline and balance are so important. It takes both to be able to juggle my academic schedule, high school volleyball, and training for college life.
My influences in life have been Catholic faith, family, and friends. I am grateful for my parents support. They have taught me that hard work pays off. To reach your goals you can never give up, you must push through and always look for the positives. My parents have encouraged me to be open minded when it comes to college. Explore all options to find the perfect place. I’m in no hurry to finish high school, but one of my greatest goals is to play volleyball in college. After college I plan to share my love for volleyball whether it be in coaching or volunteering.
