I have many goals for college, but first and foremost are my academics. I am interested in attending a four-year college to pursue my career. Although I am not sure of a specific major yet, my performance in the classroom is especially important to me, just as it is on the court.
My first experience with volleyball was in 8th grade when I attended volleyball summer camps. The summer camps turned into tryouts, and the tryouts turned into a travel club team. Quickly, I learned that I had much more potential than I thought. As I improved and the seasons went on, I realized I wanted to play volleyball in college. In my first year of high school volleyball, I began on JV. This year, I made varsity as a sophomore where I am one of the starting middle hitters. In my club career, I have played from 14U through this season, 17U.
In the classroom, I am an A’s and B’s student who values their education before anything else. I set high expectations of myself and always push myself. I lead with confidence and kindness, making me someone people rely on for anything. Throughout my athletic career, I have always been applauded for my enthusiasm. On and off the court, I bring positivity with me wherever I am and am always willing to better my best. I stay late at my job to go to the gym, I arrive early to practices for extra reps, and I assistant coach/referee youth games.
Volleyball has changed my life for the better, and I would love to continue playing in college.
