I was around the age of 10 when I found my love for volleyball. I was going to a summer sports academy and a couple of my friends and I had volunteered to help a volleyball coach with her drill. With that, I saw so many incredible players and it was love at first sight. Ever since that summer, I had practically begged my family to let me play volleyball. All I wanted to do was be out on that court! It wasn't until my freshman year of high school that I had gotten the opportunity to tryout for my school's team. When I found out that I had made the team, I started crying - my wish had finally come true after five years. Ever since then, volleyball has changed my life. As a competitive and dedicated player, I always find a way to grow in my level of expertise. I always want to improve and I strive to get better. And, I am always willing to put in the effort. As a defensive specialist, I have found it critical to be able to read my opponents and to make the necessary body adjustments to receive the ball. I'm nowhere near perfect, but I have the motivation to do what is needed to improve. At the end of the day, I just want more playing time.
