Kirsten Vanisacker '22 Recruiting Profile

I have always been a very well rounded person, from playing six different sports throughout my life to having outstanding grades in school, but what stuck with me the most and gave me the most joy has been volleyball and setting. I remember my fourth grade coach even describing the setters position, and thinking this is what I want to do in my future. So soon after that fourth grade year, I joined a successful travel team (that won states)and a winning middle school team. Now I have been a varsity player in high school since. 

Even though volleyball‘s been such a joy throughout the years, there has been some obstacles in the way. From my high schools losing record to my perfectionist mindset and even to personal family health problems, I have had to overcome a lot to gain the love for the sport again. However, all these things have filled me with a new drive, competitiveness, and want that I never knew I had. Now with this new want and my extreme work ethic, leadership skills, and commitment, I’m so excited to find an athletic/academic program at a college that could help me further my career and achieve more of my personal goals.
