Avery Nance '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Avery Nance, and I am from Traverse City, MI.  I play volleyball at Traverse City St. Francis High School and Northshore Volleyball Club in Traverse City.  I am a libero/DS but have also spent time setting for my high school team. My dream is to play competitive collegiate volleyball. My favorite thing about volleyball is how much of a team sport it is - you win as a team,  and you lose as a team.  I’m a great candidate for colleges to consider because of my drive, dedication, competitiveness, discipline and passion for this sport.  I am committed to being the best I can be in whatever position my team needs and take the time to perfect my skills and strengthen my body at practice and outside of my practices. I work out and do ball control at least 3 days a week in addition to my practice schedule.  I take the time to review film to learn from my past play as well as to scout other teams to prepare for competition.  I also enjoy watching my favorite college teams play.  Outside of indoor volleyball, I work hard to make good grades and enjoy spending time with my friends and family.   In the summer, I play competitive beach volleyball.
