2017 HighlightsI have played the sport of soccer almost my entire life. I was on a premier team and I was elected captain of the team for multiple seasons. In my last season, we started the season playing horrible. We lost 5 games in a row. In practice we continued to work hard, focus, and get better as a team. Through the season our coach kept pushing and encouraging us. At the end of the season we had come back and won the league! There is nothing better than seeing your team succeed and have all of your hard work pay off. The coach I had for these couple of seasons taught me so many things that had nothing to do with the sport of soccer. She helped me gain life skills that I will be able to use for the rest of my life, like cooperation, self confidence, determination, commitment, and dependability.
The skills that my previous coach taught me are skills I have been using in school, life, and volleyball. Working hard and having the drive for something I am passionate about is important to me. I hope to use these skills while furthering my education and career in volleyball. I have the want and determination to play at the collegiate level for volleyball as well as making a positive impact in your team and university.
