As a multisport athlete, I have played alongside many different people in my school and the surrounding communities. I have the ability to engage with those around me in practice and a competitive environment. I was named as captain of my high school volleyball team as a junior because my teammates and coaches look up to me and trust me to be a leader on the team.
I am a very versatile player. In my freshman year, I was primarily a setter on both JV and Varsity, but when the seniors graduated we had many spots to fill. My coach asked me to try hitting middle in practice and I was very open to trying it out. I became our starting Middle Hitter/Blocker and Setter. I am very quick on my feet and able to change directions in the middle very easily. As a setter, I am able to chase down the ball and deliver a set to my hitters.
Ever since I started playing sports it has been my dream to play at the collegiate level. Playing at the college level is a great honor, and having the opportunity to do something I genuinely enjoy after my high school career is one of my greatest aspirations at this point in my life.
Throughout high school, I have maintained a 3.82 out of 4.0 GPA and have taken three college classes. I got accepted into the Minnesota Honors Society and have been on the A Honor Roll. Academics are very important to me and my coaches, parents, and I stress the importance of being dedicated to my school work.
