Lauren Skar '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Lauren Skar, and I am a right side hitter in the graduating class of 2019.  I will graduate from Duluth East High School in Duluth, MN. This is my seventh year of playing volleyball, third year playing on a National level team for Minnesota North Volleyball Club.  Volleyball has become my passion and my lifestyle. Volleyball has driven me as an athlete work hard for the goals I have, and one of them is to play at collegiate level volleyball. 

As an athlete I am all about the effort, drive, leadership, and intensity once I step on the court. Athletics has taught me how to balance my academics very well, which is a very important part of my life.  I am still undecided as a major, but I am exploring a route that would take me into working in a local government. I am looking at majors that include Political Science, Government Studies, Economics, and Public Policy.
