I have been passionate about watching and playing volleyball ever since I can remember. Both my grandmother and mother played a large role impacting the start of my volleyball career and I grew up surrounded by the sport. My mother played when she was younger and my grandmother continues to stay involved by reffing and coaching. Throughout my years of playing on a high school volleyball team, the journey to the 2019 Minnesota State Tournament was my favorite experience. The tough teams we faced and the incredible challenges we overcame created so many memories that will stick with me throughout the rest of my volleyball career. Not only did I enjoy the competitive volleyball but the atmosphere that surrounded the Xcel Energy Center was one of a kind.
As for my academic career, both past and future, I am extremely driven and determined. My grades and education mean a lot to me. I strive to be the best that I can possibly be by working hard and putting forth needed effort. My current academic goals directed at my senior year of high school include maintaining a Grade Point Average of 3.8 or higher. Another one of my goals would be to narrow down specific career options and direct my attention on only a couple.
Focusing more on my characteristics and personality, I am energetic and competitive. I am also very motivated and committed to the things I put my mind to. These are advantages both on and off the court. I am able to work well independently but also work collaboratively with others. I'm a positive team player who is very dependable and loves helping others. Some of my strongest traits include my communication, especially on the court, and my ability to adapt to different situations. These are all important skills that I am fortunate enough to have acquired over the years.
