Personal Statement
I started volleyball in 7th grade which many people consider late, but I have always been a competitive person so I pushed myself to become better. Playing volleyball has taught me to anticipate everything, while also always needing to stay attentive to what's going on. I have also learned how to let things go quickly and return back to and focus right away if a mistake is made. My high school team likes to call it " learn, burn, return" which I have used in many occasions on and off the volleyball court.
One of my goals is to continue being a student-athlete. I aspire to be a physical therapist and getting the education to do so while still playing volleyball. In high school I have steadily kept a 3.9 GPA and have been on the A honor roll every year of high school so far. Although high school has been challenging I would say coaching a 12's club team has been the greatest challenge. It has taught me to be patient and brings me back to thinking often about the basics of volleyball. It has also taught me how to see other people's points of views and to always try and help teach things in different ways because not everyone thinks the same.
I am a very eager person and I tend to be outgoing once I have settled around people. Many people say I bring energy into a room or onto the court and I feel like that benefits everyone around me and I love helping people. Thank you for taking time looking at my profile!'
