- 2020 Highlights
Personal Statement
Hello, I am Elizabeth Ness and I go to Mankato West High School and am a part of the class of 2023. I started playing volleyball in elementary school and loved the sport. I enjoy sports and have previously played basketball, hockey, soccer, and swimming.
I am a setter and my secondary position is a opposite. I started as outside but, I was moved to the setter position in my second year and loved it. I have played club for Minnesota Attack since 14's. I was moved up to 14-2s in my first year and stayed on that team for the next year. In my third year at MN Attack, I played on the 15-3's team. The 2020 short fall season I made 16-1s. I went to Loyola Catholic School from kindergarten through 8th grade. I started in the C-squad team and sat B-squad/JV team as an 8th grader. The summer before my freshman year of high school I switched to Mankato West High School, one of the public schools in Mankato. In 9th grade, I played for Mankato west's 9th grade B team. In a later high school season as a sophomore I made B-squad.
It is very important to me that I get the best grades I can in school. I'm an A average student. I enjoy science, math, and criminal justice classes. I am working on time management and creating connections with my classmates.
I am a hard-working player and I try to be as encouraging as I can. I like to push hard and test my limits. Previous coaches have said I am coach-able and will take advice seriously. Volleyball has helped me learn to have commitment and determination in everything I do. I want to continue my career in volleyball because I love the sport both on and off the court and have made many friends through it. It is a dream of mine to play college volleyball and I will continue to work my hardest to achieve it.
