I started playing volleyball when I was 13 and gave up gymnastics. I quickly became one of the best hitters on my team because I listened to everything and strived to improve. Even though I had never played volleyball, I was put on the 14-1's team at Minnesota One Volleyball. Once a coach said "I can't believe you really listen to what I tell you and then just do it." I think that probably comes from my 8 years of gymnastics experience. I also started track in 8th grade and came on the varsity team as the best pole vaulter and triple jumper despite it being my first year. My pole coach at the time said "you have to realize how unusual you are to be able to pick up a sport so quickly." I competed in the MN State Track and Field meet as a 9th and 10th grader in pole vault and triple jump. This year our high school volleyball team placed second in sections to the MN 2014 State champions (Chaska). I finished the season with 322 kills, hitting a .443 as an outside hitter. I was voted captain, MVP Offensive player and All-Conference. I am currently ranked #4 in my class of 640 students. I want to play top Division 1 volleyball and also get a quality education in a health care related field. This club season I will be be playing at M-1 again on the 18-1's team.
