When people ask me what I want to be when I am older, I have one answer. I want to be happy.
When I play volleyball, I am happy. My dream is to play college volleyball and I am willing to do whatever it takes. I have experienced adversity in my career, but that only makes my will to win greater. It not only improves my mental toughness, but also my character as a whole. If I had to describe myself as a volleyball player, I would say I am passionate, hard-working, and tenacious.
I have played volleyball for 8 years and I am now preparing to be a captain for our varsity squad at Prior Lake High School in 2014. Being a top student athlete will always be a top priority and focus in my life. My grade point average is a 3.8 and I hope to keep increasing. I am very involved at my school and also at my church. I am the president of SADD- Students Against Destructive Decisions, and next year will be my 3rd year as president. I am also in Junior Optimist Club and LIVE (Lead Inspire Value Everyone). I play lacrosse at the high school along with volleyball, and I also coach. I assistant coach a 12's club team and I couldn't be happier doing so.
The most important thing in my life is God. I am a Catholic and have been since I was born. I attended a private school k-8th grade and I still am now a table leader at faith formation. I have been on two mission trips to both the Carolinas and many retreats throughout Minnesota. I believe my religion helps my character show through and it helps me to become the person that I have always wanted to be.
