Mikayla Powell '19 Recruiting Profile

First and foremost, I love the game of volleyball, and I love to win.

I believe athletics can be an excellent foundation to instill and reinforce discipline.  Playing both volleyball and soccer has made me a very hard worker and an extremely focused and dedicated team member. In addition, I am also an excellent student with great study habits. Ultimately, I would like to be a successful student athlete by using my abilities (both athletic and academic) to earn a scholarship to a college/university with a strong veterinary medicine program.  

With my athletic skills and work ethic as a strong foundation, I hope to contribute to a team to help them compete at a high level and be part of a winning culture.  I believe in team.  Team is about trust, respect, and encouragement; and every member giving their all in an effort to achieve a shared goal - success.
