My name is McKenna Stewart and I am in my junior year at Scribner-Snyder Community Schools in Nebraska. Scribner-Snyder is a small rural school in eastern Nebraska. We co-op volleyball with a nearby school. I will be graduating from high school in 2024 and looking forward to continuing playing volleyball at the collegiate level. A little bit about myself; I have been playing volleyball competitively for seven years, three of them on club teams. I am active in a variety of activities at my school: basketball, track, FCCLA, One-Act and musical. Academically, I carry a 3.8 GPA after my sophomore year. I have been an honor roll student since the 7th grade.
Outside of the high school season I have played on several teams, the past three have been with Fremont Volleyball Club. During those years I have had an emphasis on working my passing skills (libero and defensive specialist). I have recently been working as an outside hitter as I have been working on my vertical with my strength training coach. We had a full schedule and slate of practices which greatly enhanced my skills. I am looking forward to continuing my growth this fall with the upcoming high school season.
I still have time to work on my skills before I make the jump to the collegiate level. I will be attending several camps during the summers to work on my skills. I still have two years of high school volleyball along with one more year of club volleyball. I have the drive and motivation to make my dream of playing volleyball at the collegiate level become a reality.
