I am motivated to play at a Division 1 school. I am a versatile and athletic 5'11 setter. For the past 4 years of my club experience at Cut Shot, I ran a 5-1. I am a very athletic person all around. I played basketball for 8 years and lacrosse for 3 years, I choose to prioritize volleyball. Over the past few years, I have learned so much about myself through volleyball, it has made me a much more intelligent, confident, and determined person.
On the court, I'm a talkative, energetic, and consistent player. When I get on the court I spread my positive energy to my teammates. I've had the privilege of being the team captain on my club team for 4 years in a row. I have a lot of height for a setter, when I get to the front row I'm a presence at the net. I get a lot of blocks and I'm smart when it comes to placing the ball when tipping. In the back row, I am very disciplined and talkative. I also have a strong approach and swing. I am the player to keep everyones energy up when they make a mistake. I have a very short term memory while playing and don’t dwell on my mistakes. I have a positive mindset throughout the game and off the court as well.
I am a very coachable player, I get along with everyone. My family is the most important thing to me. I have an older brother who I have a great relationship with, always laughing, never fighting. He gives me really great advice and pushes me to do my best in everything I do.
I love to work hard, I always give my 100% effort in practice, in games, and at home on my own time. I am a competitive person, on the court, I'm motivated to be number one. I always try to improve and beat my personal best whether it be perfecting volleyball skills, working out, or running. Every time I step in the gym I plan outwork everyone there. I am driven and willing to put in the work others won't to achieve my goal of playing at a Division 1 school.
