Annabelle Burns '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Annabelle Burns, and I  am currently in 10th  grade at Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark, New Jersey. I started playing volleyball in 4th grade for JV (5th/6th grade), loving it so much that I joined CRUSH Volleyball and attended clinics in their fall, winter, spring, and summer programs. In 7th grade, I  was recommended to attend tryouts for a local volleyball club, Central Jersey Heat, and played for the 14 Regional team (21’/22’), being 12 years old as an OH. As I grew in skill, I moved up into the 15 National the 22/23 season as a Setter and OP. We ended the 2022 season at St Michael's Catholic Middle School in Cranford, NJ, as silver medalists in the CYO Conference Varsity  Final. Moving into 9th grade, I realized I wanted to play volleyball at a higher and more competitive level, so I decided to switch clubs. I then transferred to SideoutSports located in Fairfield, New Jersey, which soon came to feel like home. Since I was a year ahead, I decided to play a second 15s season. The 23/24 season, I played for SideoutSports 15 National Justin's team. This is where I believe I made the most progress. Switching clubs made a huge difference. Now, I am currently an OPP/DS for SideoutSports 16 National Justin, and preparing for college with summer camps and clinics. We were runners up in U16's  USAV GEVA awarded a Silver medal at Regionals and secured an invitation for  American Division to go to Nationals in Dallas. ( June 19th to July 3rd 2025) 

I played in my High School Varsity volleyball team the 23' season as a freshman (Grade 9) at Mother Seton Regional High School, in Clark, NJ, as OH (#2). After 21 games my stats were 106 kills and 185 Digs, and the link to the rest of the games' results you will find online. I was awarded the White Conference membership in NJ  for TOP Freshmen in the state and recognition as the Rookie of the Year at Mother Seton HS for the Varsity Volleyball Team. 

Mother Seton HS 2024 - Varsity White Conference Champions, I was awarded MVP for the season by Coach Moran and recognized as MVP Sophomore by  NJ.com High School Sports nominations. Awarded membership to the White conference, and also prestigious Greater Middlesex County, top 10 . 45 sets played, 157 kills, 247 Digs, and 39 Aces for the season. Total of career kills 272, Career Digs 444, and 70 career aces. ( 7.48 average kills / 11.8 average Digs ) 

My passion for volleyball extends far beyond just playing, coaching others and developing new friendships, and team building. SideoutSports Volleyball club in Fairfield, NJ, is my new home for the next 3 years. I’m so excited about the preparation for college volleyball and the college recruiting process. I’m so in love with this sport and would want to continue my volleyball journey after High School at a college level.
