Niamh Tobin '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my names is Niamh Tobin and I am a part of the Class of 2022 at Cresskill High School. I have started varsity since my sophomore year as a middle blocker. Volleyball has been a passion of mine since I first got on the court in 8th grade, I fell in love with everything about it. From the excitement I got after scoring a point off of a kill to the bonds I have made with my teammates on and off the court. Not only as an athlete, but as a person, I am committed and focused with everything I do. I see myself as a very outgoing and social person which is a huge factor when it comes to the court. My want to get better and drive for success helps my game through all the mistakes and frustrating times. I’m always open to criticism, and I do what I can to use it and get better. I love being pushed to my greatest potential, and I always put 100% into my game. 

Currently, I am also committed to playing varsity basketball, along with varsity softball at my high school. I have a passion for everything I do, but playing volleyball at the collegiate level has become a goal of mine. I know what it means to fail, but I also know how to get back up and bounce back from my mistakes. My coaches, along with my teammates have pushed me to be a great player, and I know that I can only go up from here. Along with my team, my family has had a huge impact on my volleyball career as well. The support from my parents and the natural competition I have with my older brother pushes me to be greater than I think I can be. 

I’ve been an athlete since the moment I could walk, and I don’t want this journey to end after my high school career. I think I would be a great asset to any team, because I would give my all to everything that is thrown my way.
