Hi, I'm Faith Herity
3/2018 Update: I'm happy to say, I'm looking forward to playing at my new home away from home at Curry College with my new VB family .
This club season I'll be playing for Side Out Sports again. This my 5th year playing competitively. Last year was my 1st at a new club. I played up on their 18's team. My goal was to play against higher level competition in preparation for the 2017 high school Varsity season. I'd love to be able to have the opportunity to continue to play volleyball in college. My team-mates and I had a 33W-7L "set" win Summer League season.
(11/2017 Update:) Our overall 2017 Team Awards: Group II State Champions; Sectional Champions; Big North Patriot Division Champions; and finally Tournament of Champions Finalist at William Paterson Univ.; Indiv. Honor - 2nd Team All Division (2017 Overall Season 24W-2L).
I've been told by my coaches that 'I'm easy to coach; I am a quick learner; I take what they tell me and implement it both in practice and on the court.' I'll always give you my best efforts both on the court and off to the best of my abilities to achieve the goals of my self, coaches, and team. Although I've played multiple sports to keep fit and socialize with my friends during off seasons, Volleyball is my passion. I love to play, am always eager to learn more and will always play to win. My philosophy... "You can rest after you leave the court!" I would love an opportunity to not only grow academically but to also be able to utilize the skills I've learned in the sport I love.
My goal after college is to seek employment in the law enforcement field, specifically for the FBI or CIA. I plan to major in Sociology or Political Science with Pre-law. I Criminal Justice classes at Rockland BOCES.
2017 - I was the Secretary of Skills USA (our vocational club.) My course at BOCES will enable me to be eligible for 6 college credits by the end of my senior year. I've held the position of Secretary of Skill USA in Jr. year, and Vice President of Skill USA, Sr. year; I've been inducted into the National Technical Honor Society both Jr and Sr. Year. I was Student of the month in September and made Honor Roll all four marking periods. I Won 2nd place Silver for River Dell for Scholastic and William Paterson Photo competition. I am the Sports Editor and a writer for our school paper 'The Ridellion at River Dell.' I was also selected to represent our school at Rockland BOCES in a Public Speaking competition in Albany. Although I didn't bring home a medal that time I still won! I pushed my self to go outside my comfort level, gave it my best at the time, learned a lot and met a lot of amazing people. My family and I volunteer as a foster family for rescued dogs and cats as needed. To date we've helped nurture, train and place 34 pets.
Thank you for taking the time to view my information and highlight videos.
Sincerely, Faith Herity
