I have known since I was very little that I want to help people when I am older. Because of my love for children and desire to help others, I work at a camp for kids with cancer and their siblings, called Sunrise Day Camp Long Island. My professional goal is to become a psychologist for the pediatric care unit of a hospital, where I can hopefully bring joy into the lives of little kids who need it most. I feel as if I am a hardworking individual with the ability to persevere through any challenge that may come my way. Although the last few years have been difficult, losing loved ones such as my father, and grandmother, I have worked through the difficulties making new friends on my volleyball team and keeping up with my school work. I have been playing volleyball since fourth grade and it has always been a love of mine. On the court I am able to drown out all the negative and play my game with the help of my teammates. Whether it be on the court playing the sport we love or off the court at team bonding, my team has become family. I am a team player and all around outgoing individual who would love the ability to form a family-like bond while continuing my passion for volleyball throughout my higher education.
