I started playing volleyball at an extremely young age. It started as just playing on the beach in my hometown. I started to play for fun with a church in my town when I was in the 5th grade. When I got to the 7th grade it became more serious. The following year I played for my middle school. This was when I fell in love with volleyball and realized I wanted to take it another level. When I began high school I started playing for Xaverian and I took it upon myself to join Brooklyn Elite Volleyball Club. I got to travel to competitive tournaments and had the most fun I could ever have playing competitive volleyball with my friends. I knew then that volleyball was going to be in my life for as long as possible. As an athlete I love always pushing myself as far as I can go and even beyond. The feeling of improving is one of the best feelings in my opinion. I’ve always been told I'm a good leader and helper but I never realized it until I started playing volleyball. Even if I'm not the captain of a team I just love bringing everyone up and lifting up their spirits. I've always tried my hardest in my classes just like on the court. I love exceeding my expectations and outdoing myself. Even when I don't quite meet success, I give my 100% towards everything I do. Volleyball has been in my life for as long as I can remember. I love the connections you make with your teammates and the feeling when playing a game. I couldn’t imagine my life without it. It also gives me structure and keeps me active everyday. The thought of going to college and joining another family is so exciting to me.
