My name is Mackenzie Farquhar and I am currently a junior at Dolgeville High School. My main position is a setter but once and a while I play will outside hitter if and/or when needed. I have been playing volleyball since I was in fourth grade but not on an official team. Then I would go to little camps and weeklong clinics that were offered at my school. Once I was in seventh grade, I started playing on an official school team and after that I would go to volleyball camps and have been going to clinics up at Utica College about twice a year for about five years. Volleyball has always been a passion of mine growing up and I want to continue to pursue the sport in the future. It is my number one sport and the one school sport I am the most excited about when the season starts to arrive. When it comes to playing, I have always been a hardworking player along with being positive and encouraging with my teammates when they have made a mistake or congratulating them. In my spare time, I try to work on perfecting my skills to make myself a better player and a better team member to my future team. On top of that, I do my best when it comes to schoolwork and trying to challenge myself by taking advanced college and AP classes and maintaining my 3.6 GPA.
