Aleciyah Brodley ...
0:00 / 3:18 ...Growing up in my family sports were always a very important part of our lives and I personally believe that they always will be. Throughout elementary school and most of middle school I was convinced I would be playing college softball, but everything changed when I stepped on the volleyball court for the first time, and I instantly fell in love with the game. Whenever I am on the court, I feel like I am in my happy place, and anything is possible. As well as sports being one of my main focuses, I also value my education very much and maintain almost all straight A's and a 4.0 gpa as well as taking many honors and AP classes. This previous year (sophomore year) I was awarded STAC all-star team for volleyball and Metro all conference for softball, which I believe is a great example of my ability to be an all-star multisport athlete with very good grades. I am willing to put in the work on and off the court and I am aware of the sacrifices that come with being a student athlete and I am willing to make them if it means I will becoming the best athlete and student possible. I understand that I am not necessarily the ideal height for a volleyball player, but I've put in a lot of extra work to improve my vertical and other aspects of the game to make up for it. I also know that along with skill you must have great teamwork to be a good volleyball player and you must be able to celebrate yourself and your teammates accomplishments and pick up your teammates when they are feeling down. Volleyball is a team sport and even with the most skilled players in the world a lack of chemistry can cost them a game. I really appreciate you for taking the time to read this and I hope that after reading it you find me to be a good addition to your team in the future.
