I started volleyball when I was eleven starting in seventh grade for Horseheads Senior High School. When I started I knew I loved the sport once I stepped onto the court I knew this was a place I could come and play no matter what is happening during the day or week. I see my future at a college where the academics and volleyball team make me feel welcome.
When I am on the court I devote myself to every play no matter where I am on the court. I play as a middle hitter/block, right side. I have been considered a utility player as I have experience as an outside hitter, and a libero. I adapt quickly to the position I am put into. My teammates see me as a friend but also a team player. I am here for my teammates on and off the court such as in school or before a game. My coaches see me as a motivated, hard devoted, and coachable player. My freshman year I played Junior Varsity and the team went undefeated and we won Stac West for division 4. My sophomore year I made Varsity, the Varsity team went undefeated , won Stac West for division 4, and the team won the Sectional Title for Class 4.
At Horseheads Senior High School in Horseheads, NY. I am seen to my guidance counselor as a devoted student who seeks help when it is needed. In school I strive for high grades.. I am also challenging myself in school such as taking an AP exam and ACE classes. As well as my academics, I volunteer at our local Food Bank and also at our Animal Shelter. In addition, I help out at our Horseheads Summer Volleyball Camp and our Volleytots Camp which is a camp to help kids in elementary school so that they learn the skills needed to succeed in the sport.
The things I am looking for in a college is the undergraduate major Athletic training, Physical Therapy and/or Biology pre-med. I am also looking for a college that has a equal amount of sport and academic success.
