Jane Richards '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jane Richards, I am a Volleyball player. I am 5'7” and weigh about 125 pounds, I am 16 years old

I am a junoir and will graduate the year of 2021. I have been playing volleyball for five years. I played JV volleyball in 8th grade and I have played Varsity since 9th grade. I am 110% committed to playing volleyball in college. I played club volleyball for the Long Island Blaze last year, I played on the 16s team when I was 13, I was a Right side I played on the 16s team again when I was 14, the 17s team when I was 15 and now the 18s. I am willing to play any position on the court. I've played libero, right side, outside, middle, and DS. My weakest skills are setting and block timing. My strongest skill is passing, I am assertive and aggressive in the back row.  I am also a strong spot server. My hitting records consist of kills to the deep corners or down the line. My hitting could use improvement, but I am a versatile player. 

I am an all honors student and at the top of my class. Academics are extremely important to me. I have been on High honor roll every quarter since I began high school. I enjoy my Humanities classes the most, with AP US History, AP Literature, and Gothic Romanticism being my top classes. I am also the secretary of the student council and the secretary for my Class government. I am looking to major in hospitality or Interior Architecture/design and minor in Sustainability or some kind of environmental science.
