Anna Smith '16 Recruiting Profile

     For my college experience I plan on going into either the nursing or veterinary field. I would love to play volleyball in college and be able to take advantage of all the opportunities that I would be given both academically and in sports. I am a leader, although many of my peers tend to "follow the crowd" I always strive to march to the beat of my own drum. I am a person of high character and moral values, my faith is very important to me along with my academics.  When on the court I give 110% 24/7 many of my fellow players are becoming "burnt out" on volleyball; yet, I feel as though I am in my prime and want to continue playing at the next level. On the court I am a leader, and I strive to untie my team so that we may play to our fullest potential and not just as individuals. When I am on the court my complete focus is on the game. I feel as though I am a coachable player who is willing to make adjustment to improve my overall performance. With my mother being a teacher I have always been held to very high standards with my academics. During this past season I maintained a 4.6328 weighted GPA, while also being an officer in the FFA as well as in Student Government. I would be an asset to your team and look forward to speaking with you!
