Jacqueline Chamberlain '12 Recruiting Profile

I have just entered into my Senior Year at The O'Neal School and I look forward to my upcoming final year with my school. My strongest characteristics as an athlete would have to be leadership. I am often court captain for many of our varsity level games and my coach has stated to me on multiple occasions that she is often very proud of me for being a leader and being able to make all of my teammates feel better in a tough game and get them ready for the next point so that we don't fall into a slump as a team so that a comeback is possible during a tough match.

I am 5'6 and 120 lbs and can move my feet very quickly. This will be my 6th year playing volleyball and it is the sport that I am the most passionate about. When I was a sophomore in high school playing for the Junior Varsity Volleyball team the morning of the state match for the Varsity team the Varisty Coach and team captain came into my classroom to inform me that the middle hitter had rolled her ankle at practice the night before and that I would need to step in to fill her spot, our team then made it to the quarter-finals of states that years and unfortunately lost. As a sophomore on JV, I was a captain and that year I learned a tremendous amount about leadership. I was not a good leader that year which made me learn how to become a great leader, I learned from it and that is what I do best so that now leadership is one of my strongest qualities.

I want to go to school preferably in the South, preferably near the coast but that is not a huge factor. I am open to any type of school except for maybe the extremely small, I would like to play for a medium school but am not opposed to the big or small! Any divison that I can breach into would be excellent.

I hope to major in some sort of business or design. I am open to any type of competition.
