Personal Statement
I’m very confident that I will be a good candidate for any collegiate team because I’m a hard worker, very dedicated, and I have a lot of potential. My goals are to continue to grow and perfect my craft within the game of volleyball, while still being successful in my academics. What makes me different is I suffered from a seizure disorder since the age of 1; but thank God with a lot of prayer my Sophomore year I received a bill of clear health, which makes me more determined because of the blessing that I received. I look at the game different because of the obstacles I had to overcome to get here. I was introduced to volleyball in the 6th grade and I fell in love with it. I love instruction, and receiving feedback to make me better in areas where I may lack. I’m also very coachable, because I know my coaches are trying to help me grow and become a better player. I am determined and hard working, I bring a lot of athleticism to the court when I walk on. I am determined to make a difference anytime I cross the lines to enter the game because it reminds me of how truly blessed I am to be able to play.
