Personal Statement
Three years ago I changed clubs to challenge myself. I didn't know a single person at the new club but I knew I wanted to make the move to improve my game. It's been the best volleyball decision I've made. On my Eastside Dosch team, we have traveled to many big tournaments and played against tough competition. We've finished 3rd and 4th the last two years at Presidents Cup and close to the top of OVR American each year.
For the last 8 months, I've been training at AP Prep, increasing my strength and agility. I've had big gains in both. As a volleyball player, I am a versatile setter who is able to run a 5-1 or 6-2 system. I have quick, strong, soft hands & great vision. I am a student of the game who’s personable with strong leadership qualities.
My mom passed away April 19, 2017 after a six year battle with ALS. My dad, grandparents & I took care of her the entire time. In that 6 years, we made as many memories as we could, staying positive & living as close to normal as possible. That experience taught me many things, especially how to deal with adversity & to never give up. It also made me realize I want to be a nurse. I recently received my STNA and have started work at a nursing home.
