I have loved volleyball from the very moment I started playing, and throughout the years, I have just continued to love it more and more as I increase in my knowledge and ability to play the sport. Playing volleyball has allowed me to learn perseverance and determination, as I push through obstacles in matches and the long tournament days. It has also taught me teamwork and friendship by showing me what it means to be a good teammate to every person and team you may play volleyball with by putting them first and making sure it's a whole team effort. I've also learned to connect with my teammates on and off the court to build that camaraderie that wins games. In addition to these, being a multi-sport athlete for most of my athletic career has given me the chance to become good with organizational skills and time management.
While I mainly play right-side hitter and setter, I have played every position on the court at least once. By doing that, it has allowed me to become versatile and well-rounded on the court. I believe I could succeed anywhere on the court and be an impactful attribute in a college volleyball program. In addition to succeeding on the court, I also want to succeed in school. I hope to find a school that gives me the satisfaction of playing college volleyball, while also pushing me in academics toward my goal of obtaining an engineering degree.
Being able to have the chance to play volleyball in college would allow me to continue to play a sport that I love, while also pursuing my dream of becoming an engineer.
