Being a 5'4 outside hitter has been one of the most challenging, but rewarding thing I have ever done. It has taught me to step up, adapt, and make the best out of tough situations that are out of my comfort zone.
Starting varsity as a freshman and playing all the way around was the biggest challenge I have ever taken on in my volleyball career. I was able to take ahold of the situation and prove to others as well as my self that I belonged there. I was always a leader on the court prior to playing at the varsity level, and I soon became one once again at high intensity. Serving 115 times throughout my season, I only made one service error making my service rate a 99.1%.
Not only have I challenged myself on the court, but I have academically, too. I take difficult courses; all of which are honors. My current GPA is a 4.28 and it continues to grow higher.
I treasure my teammates and coaches in every sport I play, and I wouldn’t be the positive and confident person I am today without volleyball.
