Personal Statement
I fell in love with volleyball in the 7th grade. Ever since then, I have devoted myself to improving my skills and pushing myself to meet my goals. My first two years of volleyball I played as an outside hitter. My first year of club volleyball I was moved out of my comfort zone and placed as a right-sided hitter on an American level team. I gained valuable lessons that year about flexibility, diversity, and honing in on new skills. As a freshman, I was challenged further when my coach told me she had been watching my hands and that she wanted me as the starting varsity setter. I rose to the challenge, practicing before and after practice to maximize my skills. Our varsity team won the PTC title for our conference for the first time in 36 years. I won Outstanding Freshman, PTC All-Conference First Team, All district honorable mention, and a scholar-athlete award! I am passionate about volleyball and would love the opportunity to play at the collegiate level in the future. I plan to study pre-law or a business major. I have been a straight-A student my entire life and I am dedicated to my education and future.
