I have been playing volleyball since I was 12, in the sixth grade. Like most sports at that age you do it because your friends are doing them, but after the first practice I knew I had fallen in love with the sport. I love the mental aspect about volleyball, you have to be strong physically and mentally. I love the challenges I confront in practice, whether it is coach yelling at us for doing something wrong, pushing as hard as I can through the last rep, or just the small technique things that you have to get just right.
I think being a leader, being coachable, and loving the sport would make a great asset to any college team. I think I stand out from other recruits with my work ethic, why work towards your dream if you're not going to give it your all?
I work very hard on the court with quick explosive movements. I have a strong skip serve, and a strong block. Coaches will love my coachablity and how I am quick to learn.
I work very hard in school, our school holds all of the students to a very high standard. I attend Emmanuel Christian Academy, and I have a 3.7 GPA. I take mostly honors classes, and my classes that are not honors I strive to have the higher grades than the other peers. I also volunteer a lot in my church's nursery. I think good work ethic and good morals make a college athlete. I will strive to be whatever a college coach will need from me.
