Hello coaches, my name is Colin Linderman, a 6'0" tall, 145lb, righty closer and outfielder. As a senior, I understand the leadership role of a teammate. I play both soccer and baseball, and each sport has given me a respect for how leadership defines a team atmosphere. Unfortunately, I also know how difficult it is to be on the sidelines of games or miss out on them completely. My freshman year was the Covid year, my sophomore season was less than stellar, and my junior year had me on the sideline with a torn labrum and surgery before the season even began. Before I tore my labrum, I felt like my game had taken a huge jump, and I felt that would significantly impact each game we played. But afterward, I had to sit there without the ability to actively participate in a game and make a difference on the field. However, this experience helped me understand leadership from a different perspective. This year challenged me to both be an upperclassman, encourager, instructor, friend, but also teammate. As I am now in my senior year, I am actively improving my shoulder through weightlifting, while strengthening my whole body in the process. I’ll have stats and video soon as I’m close to having my swing back! I’m ready for my breakout season this year!
