I am Emily Davis and I am a junior attending Tiffin Columbian High School. I recently completed my third year on Varsity for Tiffin Columbian and I was voted as a team captain by my teammates.
My freshman year I started JV and then moved up to varsity (full-time). As a sophomore, I earned a spot on our varsity team. I am an outside hitter but I can play any position in the front row and am currently playing for Black Swamp VBC in Tiffin, Ohio. I have played at Black Swamp VBC in Tiffin, Ohio for 6 years and have played nationally for the past three years and am currently on the 17 National team. Our Club team earned a USA Bid in the 2017 Girls' Junior National Tournament that was held in Minneapolis, MN at the end of June 2017.
My collegiate goals include: earning a degree in the Biomedical Sciences so I can pursue a position in the health sciences field; playing volleyball, meeting new teammates, and becoming a better person and a stronger volleyball player. My goal of playing on the court is big because it means to me that I’ve made it and that I can do anything that I work hard for. My goal of meeting new teammates is also important to making new friends. I also want to work hard to become a better volleyball player and person.
There are many reasons why I will be a good candidate for your team. I am hard-working on and off the court. I will work at something until I get it right. I get along with everyone and make friends easily. I am also focused on the game of volleyball. If I make a mistake, I do not let it drag me down. I feel I would also be a good candidate for your team because I am a very positive person who also strives to lift my teammates up if they are down. I am different from other recruits in character because I always have a positive attitude on and off the floor.
I hope this gives you an idea about me and I will hopefully hear from you in the future. Thank you for taking your time in reading this.
Sincerely,
Emily Davis
