Personal Statement
I started playing volleyball in 7th grade the first year offered in our area. This was the year that I realized I found another sport that meant something to me that I love other than basketball. My first year showed me how I can work with others and play with others for the love of the game. Our first tournament we won our SOC championship and brought a trophy home. We wanted to keep working for it next year also.
Not winning in the tournament my 8th grade year showed me how much more I wanted to work on my game. I went to camps that summer before freshman year to help with my techniques. My 9th grade volleyball season I played JV as a setter and then got to dress varsity and start almost halfway through the season as an opposite side hitter. Playing with the Varsity shows that I am capable of doing more for this team throughout my high school career and getting better every practice, game and season.
My goals after high school is to be a college volleyball player to compete and going into the major of athletic training. I feel I am a good fit for a team at the next level because I love to compete with my teammates and play the game of volleyball and I would love to go into more of physical therapy and athletic training majors.
