I have played as a setter on national-level teams for the past five years and on my high school varsity team as a freshman, and now sophomore. I ran a 5-1 this year on my high school varsity team, where we won a state championship and I got first team all league, and second team all state. I’m very dedicated to playing volleyball in college while preparing myself for my future career. I am currently interested in pursuing a career involving sports medicine, exercise science, or kinesiology. I am well-suited to the setting position because I am a good leader, observant, analytical, and I challenge myself to make my sets as perfect as possible for each of my hitters. I enjoy making quick decisions and changing the game during a play. I always try to support my teammates on and off the court along with leading the team. I love how complicated the game is physically and mentally. I like having a busy and organized schedule that includes volleyball, performance training, school, family, and friends. I am highly organized and successfully balance my academic workload with this busy schedule to maintain a high GPA even in a private school setting.
